
Getting traction in my solo law firm has really made think about what kinds of clients I want to serve and what services I want to provide.
So I wrote a sort-of reverse job notice for clients:

Akiva Miller Law is seeking startups-to-mid-stage companies looking to hire a fractional GC or legal counsel.
Must haves:
Demonstrable drive and ability to build a successful high-growth company.
Is seeking counsel to manage a constant and growing volume of legal work across commercial, regulatory compliance, privacy, product, HR, and routine corporate matters.
Desires counsel that will be a single point of contact for legal matters, integrated into the company, and aligned with its goals.
Nice to haves:
Preferably building something cutting edge and innovative.
Is proactive and responsible about seeking (and following) legal advice, and treats legal as a business enabler, not an afterthought.
Is willing to adapt its internal process and invest in tools that will accelerate legal and contracting workflows.
Prefers a counsel that will source and manage other specialized counsel, as needed.
Desires counsel to advise the board, not just the business team.
Bonus if based in New York and desires counsel to be present for regular on-site meetings or a hybrid schedule.
